It is time for the Fall Sephora Sale and I'm rounding up my go-to items, info on how to take advantage of the sale, and gift ideas/best deals to take advantage of. If you are a regular Sephora shopper like me, you can really maximize this sale to your best advantage. But even the casual Sephora shopper can make this sale work for them.
First off, have you joined the Sephora Beauty Insider Program? That is step one and you can do it online or in the store. There are 3 levels of membership based on how much you spend during the year, each with different benefits. For this sale here is how your level impacts you: VIB Rouge (top tier) had early access to the sale from November 3-6 with 20% off their purchase. This can be a huge advantage if you are interested in scoring high-demand items that might sell out. It also helps to order early before they get slammed and processing gets delayed. November 10-15, the 20% sale opens to VIB (middle tier) status members and is still available to VIB Rouge status members. This year, Insider (bottom tier) members will get 15% off November 10-15.
Here are the codes you will need for online shopping. According to Sephora's website, you should be able to use these codes more than once. So if you forget something or realize you wanted to snag some gifts for some friends/family, it shouldn't be a problem to get the discount again. I suggest putting what you have your eye on into your shopping cart to speed up the purchasing process when the sale date opens to you.
Rouge: 20FORROUGE (Nov. 3-6; Nov. 10-15) 20% off
VIB: 20FORVIB (Nov. 10-15) 20% off
Insider: INSIDER15 (Nov. 10-15) 15% off
I've put together a collection of items I buy/use on the regular to consider taking advantage of. I strategized and stocked up so I should be set for 3-4 months on most of my go-to items. You can click on the product description below the images to link out to each one.
I notice a difference in my skin tone/texture when I don't use my SK-II treatment essence. It is my biggest skin care splurge, but totally worth it for me. The bottle really does last a long time (I apply with my hands rather than a cotton pad to save product). I rarely do a full face of makeup but love the makeup melter to remove it when I do, before washing my face. I have a thing for sheet masks and Dr.Jart+ is my favorite. The rubber masks don't dry out as quickly as the regular masks but they are more expensive. I keep these mini lotions in my purse year round and go through so much of the rich body lotion in the winter. Speaking of winter, I go through at least twice as much body scrub during the cold months when my skin is getting battered by dry weather.
Makeup When I do use a foundation, I either use this Make Up For Ever Ultra HD (or my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation- not sold at Sephora). It blends well and has good coverage. I often use my beautyblender to apply and blend around my hairline and neck. I have to use an eyeshadow primer if I want to prevent creasing and my preference is this Urban Decay one. I like more neutral tones for my eyeshadows and I have the Naked2 and Naked Smoky pallets. Your tonal preferences should dictate which Naked version (1, 2, 3, etc.) you invest in, as each is slightly different. I am also in love with my natural pallet from Too Faced. I have the matte version of the one below, as I don't like shimmer for every-day wear and my Naked pallets give me plenty of shimmer options for evenings. I prefer this creamy blush from Make Up For Ever as it blends so naturally and gives me a nice soft color in my cheeks (and so many colors to choose from). Urban Decay's Perversion mascara has been my #1 mascara for years now. Nothing else has come close to this mascara for me. When I do a 'full face' the last thing I want is for it to melt or rub off on my or other's clothes! A setting powder and/or spray are great for helping your makeup stand up to the day.
I might have a brush obsession.... But here are the basics I recommend everyone have on hand. This eye set is great. It has every type of brush I would need to do a complex and beautiful eye look (e.g., shadow, crease, blending, and precision or smudging on the eyeliner). These other brushes are great for blending of foundation, bronzer, contour, and blush. Now we switch over to hair tools. I like these invisibolbble hair ties but just like any hair tie, I lose them on the regular so having a supply on hand is a must. I love my silk pillow case and was devastated this summer when I forgot my pillow and case in a hotel room (yes I travelled with my own- don't judge). They are pricey but so much better for your skin and hair. Dry clean only to extend its lifespan! I use a T3 blowdryer, wand, and straightener and love all three. I don't have the Interchangeable Wand below but would love to get it at some point (my drawer just can't hold any more hair tools). Last up is the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer- this is the one product I haven't tried- it is new on the market this year and EXPENSIVE (but not wildly more expensive than the T3 I invested in). If someone left this in my holiday stocking this year, I wouldn't be mad. It has gotten rave reviews from other bloggers and prominent stylists.
Whew.... That got a bit more in depth than I intended, but I hope you spotted something new you want to try and take advantage of the sale to do so! I should also side note that if I hadn't just stocked up on Ouai haircare products during their friends/family sale, I would totally be doing so via Sephora's sale right now. See my favorite Ouai products below ⬇️. What are your favorite products from Sephora (or are you more of an Ulta shopper?)? Do you stock up for holiday gifts during sales like this?
p.s. Mom- you asked for some holiday gift ideas 😉 I can always use more of the sheet masks & hand lotions!
