I'm still being smothered with gift guides from a lot of the bloggers I follow and tbh I'm sick to death of it. No offense if you live by gift guides, but it seems so impersonal to me. Sure, occassionally you spot a gift that is legitimately perfect for someone you love. But I feel like most of the time it is just regular items that aren't as meaningful as I like a gift to be. I love to give gifts, but I'm also very particular about making sure my gift is something really special to the recipient.
So, with that being said, let's do something different this week. I'm going to introduce you to some new-to-me brands that I think you might like, too. I've had my eye on these brands and am saving up and working toward my first purchases with them.
Sézane is a French label with the most beautiful, elegant pieces. They have a main collection and launch capsule collections to supplement and keep the brand fresh. I am starting with the Cassie jumper that features a ribbon lace up design and using it to assess their sizing. I love that some of their knitwear is purposefully designed to be worn forward or reversed (the black button up is their Barry Jumper which is extremely hard to get your hands on. I recently read more than 30,000 people are on a waitlist for notification of its restock. I'm one of those and have my eye on the Ecru color). I think it shows a wonderful attention to detail and consideration of the cut and shape of the pieces. The Boy shirt looks like it could be a perfect white button up and I love the Caramel colored Elina Blouse even if I'm not sure I can pull off the color. I could fill my closet with Sézane and be a happy lady.

Another French label.....I'm seeing a trend here. How about you?..... POLÈNE specializes in luxury leather bags. I have my eye on the "Number One" bag, specifically. I love the strong structure of the bag and the amazing variety of colors to choose from. The black with the croc detailed flap is calling me, but the burgundy is also whispering in my ear.

The Arrivals is a NYC label that started in 2014 and has a line of leather jackets I am drooling over. In particular, I'm wishing I could indulge in the Moya III for this winter. It is beautiful in its design and structure. The only problem would be deciding on the black or the blush color.

I'm envisioning a delicate, feminine sweater from Sézane layered under the edgy Moya jacket and accesorized with the perfectly structured bag from POLÈNE. A girl can dream. 😏 How do you tend to discover new brands? Any labels you love that I should check out?
