Mission Creek Festival really makes what is already a great city for cultural activities even better. Besides the Andrew Bird concert we attended, we were excited to take advantage of a special ramen service at one of our favorite places in town, Pullman Bar & Diner. We were lucky enough to have attended a ramen and magic (Nate Staniforth- who was fabulous) night a couple of years ago there, so when Chef Sepehr announced this limited, late night ramen service we were all in.
Mission Creek certainly doesn't have a dress code, and I love the diversity of style you see while out and about for events. I knew I
wanted a casual but put-together vibe for my outfit. I decided to break out my satin bomber jacket and pair it with a statement t-shirt (click here to get #neverthelessshepersisted @Raygun) and my new sneakers.
I love this bomber's color and it is perfect for helping pull a look together and create a more polished finish (rather than my go to fleece or zip up hoodie). I also threw on a mesh bodysuit under the tee to add a little something extra to the outfit when I had the jacket off. I was drawn to the star detail on this bodysuit. Unfortunately, this specific bodysuit isn't available anymore but I've linked out to a couple of other similar options.
Lately (or once again?), the fashion world is pairing white sneakers with just about everything making it a smart, stylish, and comfortable investment this spring/summer. Find a pair that wipes down easily to help keep them looking new longer. Distressed black jeans will never go out of style, either. I've included a link to both the Express petite length jean (#shortgirlproblems) and the regular length version above. Even petite length tend to be too long for me, especially when it is supposed to have a cropped look. I have taken to just cutting off the bottom of my jeans to my desired length and leaving the raw hem. I'm still debating on whether these will be cut or just cuffed this summer.
I like being able to simply throw my bomber on this spring for some warmth but also some added style to my more casual outfits. I've rounded up a few other bombers I think would be great additions to your spring jacket collection. I'm debating on a softer color for my summer looks and really like the dusty pink ones, and I'm not usually a floral type of girl but I love the AEO one!
And the ramen? It was fantastic of course. Thanks, Pullman & Sepehr!
